SydeKick for ThaiFightCOVID, created by Articulus Co., Ltd., was an essential mobile application deployed as part of the ThaiFightCOVID initiative—a government-led collaboration between public agencies, private companies, and Thai digital startups to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Introduced on March 12, 2020, during a press event at Government House, the application supported nationwide real-time tracking and contact tracing for all travelers entering Thailand. Integrated with mobile networks and public health data systems, SydeKick allowed users to submit personal information and travel details via the app. This data was used by the Department of Disease Control to monitor potential cases and notify telecom providers for precise location tracking when necessary.

Passengers, including both Thai citizens and international tourists, were required to download the app upon arrival. For those without a local SIM, affordable 14-day SIM cards were made available at airport checkpoints. The system allowed immigration officers to verify the completeness of travelers’ information before allowing entry.

Collected data was securely stored and used strictly for public health purposes, with automatic deletion after 14 days to safeguard user privacy. The app played a crucial role in reducing public anxiety, building trust, and enabling swift response to emerging COVID-19 cases across all provinces in Thailand.

SydeKick for ThaiFightCOVID demonstrated how Thai digital innovation, led by Articulus, could effectively contribute to national efforts in managing public health crises.
